久しぶり、虹;Ben, here’s your cue:

Yesterday morning I woke up not in the wet forest, but with a wakefulness that pounced on me around 5:00 am with the playful and inevitably successful persistence of a kitten.  It had been a while since my last early morning at the river, and I suddenly felt the pull to greet my old friend the dawn as it passed over Kyoto.

Daimonji mountain was still swathed in its nightly shroud.

It was the kind of morning to dream in color, or even in gold, and imagine those dreams really might come true.

(Insert my friend Ben’s fantastic voice here, since I don’t know how to do that high-tech stuff myself: ‘Somewhere …’)

Once the news got around, there was a constant procession towards the end of the rainbow.

Some walking, Some running.

Some flew.
